New Narrative and Reader artists: Karoliina Paappa

Karoliina Paappa (b. 1983) is a photographer whose works are filled with glossy picture characters who lure the viewer to enter the world of memories and stories. Paappa plays with colours and proportions making everyday life intertwine with illusions. Paappa is interested in similarities of basic human feelings and yearnings. For New Narrative and Reader she has build new photographic installations that imitate and present different kinds of mental landscapes. In addition of having graduated from Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Karoliina Paappa has done photography studies in Ontario, Canada. Currently she lives and works in Tampere.
