Finnish Art Agency’s SHIFT mentoring program offers personal career coaching and group meetings with external experts. The aim of the program is to provide tailored support for developing artists’ careers, for example by setting long-term goals, understanding the art world mechanism and creating international contacts. The mentoring program was organized for the first time in 2015. Due to growing need to have online groups for artists SHIFT will be now held online for the first time. This will change the structure of the program and make it possible for participants to join from all over the world. The program will be held in English.
A group of talented professional artists are chosen for the program upon the received applications. The application form will be published on Finnish Art Agency’s website on the 11th of January 2022. In addition to application form, the program structure, price and guest professionals are published at the same time.
Finnish Art Agency is looking for artists who are particularly motivated and committed to push their career forward and set concrete goals for their actions. SHIFT mentoring program is firmly confidential.
The program will include one-on-one meetings with arts professionals and external advisors from around the world and the program is directed by coach, arts expert and creator of Finnish Art Agency Laura Köönikkä.
The program starts in February and ends in December 2022.
