A major exhibition of Finnish contemporary art launches in England in the summer 2015

Now there is no need to travel to Helsinki to experience the latest in Finnish Contemporary Art. Finland has a varied and exciting contemporary arts community, with international status emerging artists celebrated on the world stage. Continuing its long association with Finnish art, this summer Bury’s world famous Art Museum hosts the must-see exhibition of the latest developments from leading Finnish curator Laura Köönikkä.

Finnish Art Agency is organising New Narrative and Reader, a group exhibition of 15 young Finnish artists in Manchester, England in the summer of 2015. Bury Art Museum and Sculpture Centre, only 30 minutes from the centre of Manchester, invited curator Laura Köönikkä to develop an exhibition that will be realised from June 6 to August 29, 2015. New Narrative and Reader can also be seen in Finland in Salo Art Museum from October 17, 2015 to January 17, 2016. Read the Finnish press release from here and stay tuned for more information.
