Finnish Art Agency is an independent art agency working at the intersection of contemporary art, commercial, institutional and international collaboration, and creative production. We represent, develop, and promote Finnish artistic talent by connecting artists, institutions, curators, collectors, companies and international partners. Through strategic advisory, curatorial expertise, exhibition production, international networking, and communication, we transform artistic potential into meaningful opportunities and sustainable international careers.

In 2027 we are committed to develop our services and strengthen our collaboration with artists. Our mission is to make Finnish art visible, accessible, and influential on an international scale. Finnish Art Agency serves as an expert, intermediary, and facilitator of collaboration between artists, art organizations, and international stakeholders acting as an international agency for Finnish contemporary art and a strategic partner within the art sector.

“In my capacity as an intermediary for the arts: providing comprehensive professional support to artists, as well as an expert in creative work and as an entrepreneur, I have closely followed the necessary and essential reforms being planned to support cultural exports, including those initiated by the state, specifically within the Ministry of Education and Culture. It is excellent that the state, along with entities such as the City of Helsinki, recognizes cultural exports as an opportunity for growth and employment. It is, however, misguided to think that the solution is purely administrative. Rather, the most effective approach to cultural export lies in a combination of artistic quality, international networks, curation, production, and professional development, forged through relationships, encounters, and, above all, long-term, sustained effort. This entails active communication, networking, and the creation of robust, structural connections. Finnish Art Agency  acts as an intermediary, a developer of concepts, and a producer of projects. The collaboration between the corporate sector and the arts field is often sporadic, and the commercial potential of art is not being utilized in a systematic way.”, Laura Köönikkä.

In 2027 we will:

Work with individualized internationalization plan for artists.
Develop our mentoring and agency services.
Organize international meeting, studio visits and develop portfolio meetings and help artists to conceptual materials for international use.
Arrange dialogue, talks, platforms for open discussion.
Help artists to connect, develop and strenghen their careers in creative industries.

Our goal is to find artists with equal ambition.
