IC-98 + Paperi T & Khid at Venice Biennale

Finnish Art Agency is eagerly looking forward to IC-98 newest exhibition in the Finnish Pavilion in Venice Biennale. On top of that we are thrilled to announce a guest appearance of rap artists Paperi T and Khid on 7th of May reception at 5–7 pm. The reception for IC-98 will include a DJ set by Paperi T and Khid (aka DJ Kridlokk) which will be followed by duo’s rare live performance. The musicians were invited to perform at the reception according to wishes of Visa Suonpää and Patrik Söderlund of IC-98, and musical direction is set to follow and support the artists’ vision. The reception is hosted by Frame Visual Art Finland in collaboration with Amos Anderson Art Museum, EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art, Helsinki Art Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma / Finnish National Gallery.

IC-98 is representing Finland in Venice Biennale 2015 with their work Hours, Years, Aeons, a site-specific multi-media installation. The installation will explore aestheticization of nature, manifestation of power and interpretations of future by diving into a mythological garden. The work will be displayed in the Finnish Pavilion, designed by Alvar Aalto and completed in 1956. The exhibition is commissioned and produced by Frame Visual Art Finland.

Paperi T and Khid form a duo which released their experimental Ex ovis pullus non natis serò fit ullus EP in 2013. Renowned artists in their own right, Paperi T recently released his highly praised debut album, and Khid aka DJ Kridlokk after several releases is regarded as one of the most promising talents in the Finnish rap scene.
