Liina Mäki-Patola at Galleria Huuto

The Forest Has Come In, an exhibition by Helsinki based artist Liina Mäki-Patola, opens today at Galleria Huuto Uudenmaankatu, and we highly recommend checking it out!

The exhibition features ink and watercolor paintings as well as a video piece. The video – influenced, for example, by the Japanese art of butoh dance – includes a Beat poem by Mark Olson with sound designed and created by Juha Mäki-Patola. The forest in the artist’s vision is both a physical place and a state. The works deal with humans as part of nature, the nature in humans and the fear of nature.

The Forest Has Come in, 15.4.-3.5.2014, opening 14.4. 18-20,
