Meet the New Narrative and Reader exhibition artists: Erno Enkenberg
New Narrative and Reader, a major exhibition of Finnish contemporary art launches in England already in three weeks. Finnish Art Agency wants to shortly introduce all of the artists one by one, starting with visual artist Erno Enkenberg.
Erno Enkenberg (b. 1975) is an artist whose artistic process involves paper models, photography and painting. His works deal with familiar subjects from mass media such as natural disasters and tragedies. He has been planning to do paintings about libraries for some time and New Narrative and Reader came as a perfect opportunity for that. The three paintings displayed are dystopian images about libraries and books, and they are commenting the current situation in the cultural sector. Enkenberg has graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki, and lives and works in Helsinki-Espoo area.
